Oud for Grace is a composed, woody oud that carries its authority in warmth rather than volume, praline and vanilla over cedarwood and sandalwood, with a thread of black pepper keeping everything precise. Part of the Black Gold Project from Initio Parfums Privés, this eau de parfum launched in 2026 as a contemporary take on oud. Bright bergamot opens with clarity before praline and black pepper add a sweet-spicy warmth at the heart. The base is deep and multi-layered: oud, vanilla, cedarwood, guaiac wood and sandalwood settle into a smooth, resinous finish. The oud here is polished and modern: dark but balanced, never harsh or barnyard.
